The future of indigenous communities rests in the hands of their youth. The Roots and Rights Collective envisions a program dedicated to empowering the next generation through mentorship, scholarships, and internships. By nurturing skills in advocacy, communication, and leadership, we aim to ensure that indigenous youth are not only participants but leaders in shaping their own futures.

Why This Matters

Indigenous youth faces barriers in education, employment, and representation; leaving their voices unheard.

They carry the seeds of creativity, resilience, and vision for their communities.

Investing in youth ensures the continuity of heritage and the strength of tomorrow’s leadership.

The Legacy Paths program will focus on mentorship, scholarships, and internships to empower indigenous youth with skills in advocacy, communication, and cultural preservation. By connecting them with role models, supporting access to education and training, and providing hands-on experiences through internships, workshops, and forums, the program will help young people gain the confidence and capacity to lead their communities with both tradition and innovation.

This program is currently in its planning stage. We are beginning with the Cultural Memory Archive, our foundation program, which documents and preserves the cultural knowledge of indigenous communities. Once established, the Legacy Paths initiative will gradually be launched as part of a broader vision for cultural preservation and community empowerment.

We invite interested individuals, organizations, and donors to connect with us in shaping this initiative. Together, we can secure the future of cultural preservation, community resilience, and social justice.
